![]() Elasto-Gel Wound Care Products Description Elasto-Gel is a sterile, bacteriostatic/fungistatic, absorbent hydrogel sheet dressing designed to provide the optimum wound healing environment by helping to control and prevent conditions that can prevent or obstruct that process. Elasto-Gel assures a clean, infection free, moist wound bed. In addition, Elasto-Gel will not stick to or dissolve into the wound. Elasto-Gel is reimbursed as a daily change hydrogel but may be left in place for longer periods of time if it is not saturated with exudate. Elasto-Gel is the only high glycerine content hydrogel dressing available. Elasto-Gel decreases the amount of products needed to manage a wound, assists in reducing the time it takes for the wound to heal, decreases the dressing change frequency and helps assure a positive clinical outcome. Indication Elasto-Gel hydrogel dressings are indicated as an external use dressing for local management of pressure ulcers (stage I-IV), diabetic related ulcers and wounds, surgical wounds, skin tears and 1st and 2nd degree burns. Elasto-Gel may be used in the management of scars, as a cast and splint pad and for minor pressure relief. Pharmacology Elasto-Gel utilizes a high concentration of glycerine (65%) as a water soluble humectant in a mixture of water and polymer matrix. Elasto-Gel is presented as a hydrogel because of its ability to absorb large quantities of aqueous fluids thereby controlling moisture at the wound site. Its protective and cushioning properties are far superior to other hydrogels and hydrocolloids, and due to its high percentage of glycerine it exhibits additional desirable properties such as bacteriostatic action which is absent in other hydrogel dressings. Elasto-Gel is a soft elastic gel sheet which provides protection from shock and friction and provides pressure relief. It has been reported that Elasto-Gel will nearly eliminate odor within 48 to 72 hours after application to highly contaminated or chronic wounds. Elasto-Gel has been reported to be highly (exceptionally) effective for reducing pain. Packaging

Description Toe-Aid is a sterile, bacteriostatic, absorbent hydrogel dressing attached to a unique "T" shaped border adhesive of our Sta-Fix Tape. The Elasto-Gel pad has been shown to prevent and control the formation of slough, debris, necrotic tissue and eschar at the wound site. In addition, this high glycerine pad will not dry out, will not stick to or dissolve into the wound, absorbs excess exudate and helps preserve and maintain a clean, moist, infection-free wound bed. When used as a post-operative dressing after toenail removal, Toe-Aid helps reduce the frequency of dressing changes, negates daily soaks, nearly eliminates pain and helps assure a positive clinical outcome. The water resistant border adhesive helps assure a secure seal. Indication Toe-Aid may be used to manage small toe/foot/ankle wounds, wounds resulting from toenail removal and to help reduce fungus growth under the nail. Elasto-Gel dressings have been reported to be especially effective for diabetic foot wounds. Contraindication Toe-Aid is not approved for 3rd degree burns. Pharmacology The Toe-Aid gel pad utilizes a high concentration of glycerine (65%) as a water soluble humectant in a mixture of water and polymer matrix. Toe-Aid is presented as a hydrogel because of its ability to absorb large quantities of aqueous fluids. Its protective and cushioning properties are superior to other hydrogels and hydrocolloids, and due to its high percentage of glycerine, it exhibits additional desirable properties, such as bacteriostatic action which is absent in other hydrogel dressings. The superior results reported for diabetic wounds has been attributed to the bacteriostatic/fungistatic properties of Elasto-Gel. How Supplied
